Neat new feature

I just noticed that it's possible to mark some of your friends groups public, so now if you go to http://www.livejournal.com/users/purplerabbits/friends/individuals you can see all of my friends except communities and Jake the Rake even if you're not logged in as me. I don't know how much I'll use it, but it could be handy for people with a lot of communities in their friends list...

You have so many friends... :-(
I guess I should get rid of my notion that "friend" means "reciprocal right to communicate very personal stuff" and accept the LJ notion that it means "track journal/grant right to read personal stuff".

Well, yes, I wish LJ would use a diferent word, or better yet separate the concepts of what you want to read from who you want to read you entirely. However, this new thing does mean that you can let people know who's in what friends group if you want.
